On September 27, 2019 at 9h00 at the Grand Hotel Sofia /Gen. Gurko Street No.1/ an international forum will be held to mark the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and Bulgaria. The event is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Sofia and the Institute of Balkan Studies and Centre of Thracology 'Prof. Alexander Fol' at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IBSCT – BAS).

The forum is organized under the research project 'Exchange of Economic, Political and Cultural Models and Ideas between the Balkans and Italy (18th-20th c.)', implemented by the IBSCT – BAS and the Department of Political Science at Roma Tre University.
