On June 7-9, 2018 Section Cultural History of the Balkan Nations, IBSCT - BAS origanizes Workshop 'Balkan tinges' and three-day team building. Southeastern Europe, or as we are accustomed to calling it - 'Balkans', a concept that includes a wide range of colors, stands out with its distinctive and varied culture - a synthesis of events, historical collisions, concussion and rises of countries and empires.

Nikos Dimou said "The misfortune to be a Greek". Is it in general miserable to be from the Balkans? Rather not. Because the Balkan soul is filled with vitality, joy of life, overflowing with colors and rhythms, in which the whole variety of the world and all the emotional registers is collected.

And while tragicism has marked the millennial history of the peninsula, the Balkans are full of vitality, dyed in the brightest and most saturated colors, and their cultures make up a rich and exquisite mosaic.

Our workshop aims to present a part of the dynamic and beautiful cultural map of the Balkans and at the same time to experience the unique beauty of the Balkans.

The scientific program of the seminar includes the following topics:

Prof. Sacha Lozanova, PhD. Oriental carpets.
Assoc. Prof. Yordanka Bibina, PhD. Tinges in Turkish literature.
Assist. Prof. Julia Zlatkova, PhD. Authentic folklore from Western Bulgaria.
PhD Student Semra Ahmed. The contribution of women from Provadia to the cultural life.

The seminar will be held in Tran, famous for the beautiful gorge of the Erma River.
