Annotation: The proposed panel intends to bring together academic scholars and experts in contemporary history, international relations, political, security & defense studies. The principal aim is to discuss both NATO role and presence in the Balkans and the lessons learned from the Euro-Atlantic integration process in the region. The discussion could include several key topics as follows:

• NATO Policy & Strategy in South East Europe: Cold War and Post-Cold War era
• NATO Enlargement: History and Perspectives (1951-2020)
• NATO & EU Peace Missions in South East Europe
• South East European Multilateral Security & Defense Cooperation
